Grandpa’s Pine Tar Oil is 100% pure kiln-burned Wood Tar, imported from Sweden. It is manufactured in a closed vacuum system at high temperatures that does not generate creosote and is manufactured and tested under closely controlled conditions to ensure quality and uniformity.
Pine tar is a natural ingredient so there may be variations in color or scent. And since we do not want to add any ingredients that aren’t necessary, we do not use stabilizers.
All surfactants used in Grandpa’s products are biodegradable and safe for septic systems. Meaning all surfactants (sudsing/cleaning agents) are broken down into simpler compounds by natural biological action helping to eliminate sudsing and foaming problems in lakes and streams.
The Thylox Acne Treatment soap contains Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil. Our Soybean Oil is refined, which means that the protein (allergen) has been removed. All other Grandpa soaps are soy free.
We make no claims to be organic. Rather, we do strive to make our products as natural as possible.
All our shampoos, conditioners, and body washes have a shelf life of 24 months. Our Pine Tar bar soap has a shelf life of 5 years, Thylox bar soap has a shelf life of 2 years, all other bar soaps in our collection have a shelf life of 3 years,

The Grandpa Soap Company stands behind every product we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 100% refund on all The Grandpa Soap Company products purchased within 60 days from a qualifying retailer. If you are not satisfied, please follow the instructions below to submit for a refund.
Within 60 days of your purchase, send a letter or email with the following information to:

- Include your Full Name, Address, Email address and a copy of your receipt from a qualifying retailer with your qualifying item circled.
- Include a brief explanation (15 words minimum) as to why you were unsatisfied so we can improve our products.
- Include the product itself or if sending by email, an image of the qualifying product and its lot number.
Your return will be processed within 30 days, and you will receive a refund of the purchase price of the product. Sales tax will not be refunded, and if a coupon is used, the amount of the coupon will be deducted from the purchase price, and the actual price paid before taxes will be refunded. The Grandpa Soap Company reserves the right to confirm the validity of all purchases, and fraudulent submissions will not be paid. Qualifying retailers do not include any third party web sites not authorized by The Grandpa Soap Company for the resale of The Grandpa Soap Company products.
